AAHHH!Well well, now this is...a difficult choice to make! Only 5?! Haha, I'll absolutely try to narrow it down. I do find myself more inclined to watch animated series rather than movies so I think I'll probably focus more on those here.
Here we go from my top 5 to 1:

Cinderella 3-A twist in time:

This movie is just such a lovely, comforting movie. It's dramatic and totally shows us so much more of the prince and Cinderella's magical love, Anastasia's sweet character and of course the iconic scene of the prince jumping out of the window!XD I wasn't always the biggest fan of Cinderella, sure I liked the cartoon but not like I used to rewatch it and all. This 3rd part came out of nowhere and became a favourite!

Free!
When I decided to bless my life by watching Free!, it was not intentional lmao. I just saw the cute boys and it was popular. So a lot of fanarts popped up on my pinterest and I was like 'let's give it a try'. T_T
This anime completely took a place in my heart. The friendship is the best part of this anime. And I mean the frienship between all the characters, the rivalry between Haru & Rin, the childhood best friend scenario between Makoto and Haru, Rei and Nagisa's friendship (the two whom I also ship very much, thank you!) just makes me so warm and makes me miss my friends! It has a lot of emotion for a sports anime.

I honestly expected it to be like a lot of the other sports animes where the sports takes center stage along with friendship and brotherhood and all that. But Free does it in a way that while the swimming is central, there's so many other things that hold their relationships. I think the best scene for me was the one in second season where Nagisa and Rei start crying since they would all be separated as Haru and Makoto would be attending university in the next season. SO FREAKIN EMOTIONAL!

And how could I not immediately love this anime?!Look at Nagisa's cute face!

And Makoto's ~~shoulders~~-I mean, lovely smile and personality.

Rei who didn't even want to swim but look at him supporting his big bros!Character development!

Gou, Rin's sister- the manager of the team who is one of the two female characters and actually has screentime and is hilariously one of the best characters ever!

Thank my best friend for forcing me to watch this when I was in an anime-only stage of my life and was convinced other animated series could never be as good! She knew what she was talking about though cause she was also an avid anime watcher, I don't know why I just didn't take her word for it and watch it lol!
Again, the whole gang formation, the action, comedy, drama-everything I enjoy in a show was done so well in ATLA.
The way we see the Fire nation in a bad light at the starting of the show and by the end, it's all about people...about the people who make the various nations and the bigger message that no one nation is evil or good. Seeing the Fire nation kids embrace changes, Toph learning to trust people and make friends after her initial judgement, Aang, Sokka and Katara's growth as characters, Zuko's maturity-there's just so much in this series!!

It's just one of those shows you'd have to watch to really get why this show has so many fans. Though I never got into the fandom side of it, there's definitely a huge following and I still rewatch this show every few years.

Uncle Iroh is one main iconic character and one of my favourites in this show. I mean he is just a funny old man on the surface but you just know he's wise and smart.

Yuri on ice!!!
Hands down my favourite thing to exist. I lived for this anime in 2017-2019. I literally used to have the opening song as my ringtone,all my friends know about my love for it even though they lived on different continents at the time!
I've always liked how pretty ice skating looked so I'd been mildly interested in the anime. But then I saw it recommended for Free! fans somewhere and I was like oh, so it's not just skating? Plus all the YuriViktor fanarts had me very much interested and I was like, oh well, I guess this show has a lot of BL bait?!
I was stunned by how much I fell in love with it. I rewatched it immediately and then made my best friend watch it in one night because I simply could not contain my love for this anime! The characters! All 3 main characters are just so great.

Viktor is absolutely my favourite,he's my baby and I've never loved a character as I love this man. PROTECT HIM AT ALL COSTS!

You want me to think he's a legendary Russian skater who's hot and flirty?Okay, yeah he is.

But his personality!AAHHHH!!By the end of the show when you get to THAT episode, the one that changes everything, oooofff, Viktor just goes from lovable to precious! His feelings for Yuri! And all the little moments afterwards with Viktor and Yuri.My heart!! God, please, where is my Viktor?!

The skating scenes are so pretty in some episodes!The costumes are just <3 as they are in real life.

Katekyo hitman reborn
This is my favourite favourite action anime for mainly the characters. There are a lot of action animes out there which I like, KHR still remains to be that one anime I rewatch every now and then. I'm so here for the character development of Tsuna from a cowardly young boy to the guy he becomes. His kindness is one of my favourite things about him and I love that he never loses that essence.
Though the biggest reason for me even getting into the fanfic section is because of the Gokudera and Yamamoto shipping. They're totally one of top 5 ships along with ViktorYuri from Yuri on ice! You give me a hotheaded character and he hates the calm, nice guy (the most deadly one if you hurt his loved ones?) It's a perfect recipe for my shippy heart!

And then later they turn out to be the Storm and Rain guardians! Hello?!Storm and rain-yesss! Them starting to trust each other and have their backs, combo-fighting and more!YES PLEASE!I guess it's time to go read some GokuderaYamamoto fics.

Perhaps I should watch that 3rd Cinderella movie after all. XD I wasn’t a big fan of the original, and the direct to VHS movies often weren’t good anyway, so I always gave them a pass (except for Lion King and Aladdin). But I've heard several times now that the 3rd Cinderella is surprisingly good.

I have Free! And Yuri on Ice on my watchlist, but it’s aggravating that there’s no German dub for YoI even though we’re very quick to dub anime, usually. :( Free!, I could buy at least… I’ve heard good things about both, but especially YoI.

OHHH!Yoi and Free are both so good!YOI is easier to watch since it's 12 episodes for now. I wonder if they don't have german subbed versions of Free or YOI on anime downloading websites,lol!

I don't mind buying the DVDs or BluRays if I think I'll enjoy the show. Free! is completely dubbed in german, it seems, I can even buy the OVAs and extra movies or whatever. XD
There is a German subbed online version of YoI that is official I think? But nothing else ever came of it and I'm not amused. I prefer dubbing if possible, as German dubbing is usually quite good, and it's just easier. I don't have to be glued to the screen the whole time to keep up with subtitles. XD
