It was a tough decision to choose the pairing I wanted to do for this round but KuroDachi inspired me more at the moment.
Soooo when I first saw the info on this round,I was planning on a whole set of Gao Shi De and Zhou Shu Yi from We best love. BUUUUT!Then I watched Cherry Magic! And oh my goodness,did I find a Japanese BL drama with a normal,healthy relationship, pining and falling in love?!Plus office romance?! YES I DID!What a rare gem those are in the manga world and harder to find in dramas! I even read the manga but I ended up liking the drama more...say what?!
A bit about the drama:
So the story starts with Adachi who turns 30 and gets magical powers that lets him read the thoughts of anyone he touches.LOL! Turns out that the ace of the Sales department Kurosawa Yuichi has been in love with him for years. Lots of character development,feelings and fun ensues.It's such a fluffy drama with quite a bit of angst and some more angst(which I left out of my icon set) but eventual happy ending.I'm a sucker for those!
Some of the textwork here are what Adachi hears through his powers when he comes in contact with Kurosawa,like in the 5th and 13th icons.
If you watch this drama and like it,come die with me over it,please?!

I love the blending and complexity of 9 and 17! Your use of text is absolutely great, you'll have to teach me haha! Lastly, I love the softness of 12, it's really sweet.

I definitely wanted to keep his lovely,expressive eyes in the 14th icon and text placement in such icons is always hard for me,so it's nice to hear you like that too!:D
16 was so much fun with the coloured text and mix of fonts!The star effect in 18 took forever so it's amazing that you love it!YAY!

Date: 2021-05-06 01:45 pm (UTC)First I gotta talk about the composition magic - I especially adore the blending in 9 (love the color combination and how the blend is combined with painty textures + text!), and in 17 - the pastelly color combo is suuuper pretty and I love the text and texture work, the stars add so much to the composition.
I applaud you for using this much animation, you used them very effectively and in a fun way! I especially like the ffects you added to 2, so fun, but they're all great and really feel like ~scenes. 19 especially looks like a really fun scene and is a gorgeous icon too with those bright pastel colors!
4 is adorable and I also love the soft coloring and text use in 6. 7 is completely gorgeous, looove the coloring and text use, and the texture use /lighting in 15 is great as well!
I freaking adore 18 - it has such a magical vibe with the starriness and the purples! Lovely soft contrast too.

I love how many animated ones you made, and they fit the style of the drama really well. Fluffy, but with all the gay panic. ;)
My faves are 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 16 and 17. I love all the paint textures you used, and the beautiful toned coloring!
