These are for photoshop,I use a very old (CS2,lol) version but it should work for any version.Perhaps GIMP too but I'll have to try that out before I can say it with surety.

1. BG text using polygonal lasso tool or eraser.

2.Using the Eraser to erase the background and add text behind.

I did this twice and decided to keep both since you can see that being a little rough with the erasing isn't too much of an issue. Use a big eraser and then a small one to get into the small spaces.


















Once you set the layer on 'Soft light' or any other, you can save it or try out other things.

3. Using the Pen tool and clipping mask

Date: 2020-05-02 10:59 am (UTC)You know you can use layer masks instead of the eraser? It works exactly the same, just that erasing is not undoable, and layer masks are.
