Icon Progression Post-2025

Welcome to 2025's icon progression post. We're doing this as January's activity at icontalking on Dreamwidth. I copied the layout I used back in 2020 and wanted to try my hand at this post once again.

I started out the year making icons for retro_icontest , iconthat , stocklove_ic , your_favourites & a disney battle on itsabattlefield . I was kind of busy with the beginning of the year so I was focusing more on blocking and lighting to make my icons look nice. :D

Not a whole lot of icons this month, just maybe two posts on two different communities. I had made a post of 7 icons atlgbtrainbow for 'The heart killers' which I had watched recently. I actually got married and had a lot going on this month. :D

Again, a very busy month with a new life of long distance, work and Eid. I had actually made around 30 icons in total since I entered the above in various communities but there were few main posts.

I barely entered any big challenges. One of these was forperioddrama_ic and the other was for iconthat both of which were small icon posts.

I entered a challenge on stocklove_ic and these two above were my favourite icons there. I was making icons for some of the obscure, new shows I had watched-The gardener and Black Doves along with a few more on icontalking

Okay so I made plenty of icons this month as compared to the rest of the year I guess. It was summer time. I entered contests on celebrity20in20 , stocklove_ic , fandom10in30 and the yellow & rainbow flower one on basic_icontest on LJ This was the month I made a lot of icons as it was holiday time and I was also trying to make up for lost time,lol. I was playing around with fake BGs, compositions and was watching a variety of animes and shows. I watched The Royals and Croisee in a foreign labyrinth and was iconing them a lot. Though not super busy, I made a big set for The Japanese version of 'Marry my husband' and another for 'Tarzan' on tvmovie20in20 and disney_20in20 .Some food icons were made for food_stillness on LJ. Again, the icon making was stopping slowly as I got busy with work and preparing to move and so on. I entered one challenge on fandom10in30 and another at food_stillness I guess I went without making any icons at all this month! I don't think that has ever happened before! I didn't make too many icons this month. I did watch Dracula:A love tale,The stolen girl, Enchanted and Pearl so I made icons for those on various comms so that I could complete my 100fandoms table. I didn't end up making any icons this time as I was in full moving to Canada mode and I was really starting a whole new life. Overall, I don't think I tried anything too new this year. I definitely want to try my hand at unusual styles and new things with my icon making, more unnatural colourings and painterly styles. The goal to make more icons this year remains!
