10 Asian Drama icons for Round 34 @ fandom10in30

For round 34 at [community profile] fandom10in30 I chose to make 10 icons ranging from clean and simple to a busy composition.
The first 5 icons are from The Romance of Tiger and Rose. The next 5 are from Ancient Detective.

These are so lovely and make me even more anxious for the spring blossoms to come! I also love that you followed the kiss icon with her looking happy and smug. That's adorable! In fact, 2 is my favorite. I also like 3 and 4 (cool background effects!), 7 (wow), and 10 (nice collaging). I gotta say, I think you've really outdone yourself with this set!

Do you watch Star Trek Discovery? I think you'd really like it, as they have a hugely diverse crew including two (visible) Asians, one of whom is captain of a starship. The only thing I don't like about the series is the redoing of the Klingon makeup, but I've surmised it's likely because they are no longer working with the same makeup artists/shop and so had to change the look to avoid copyright violation.

Star Trek Discovery can very much be watched as a standalone. It has many of the same species as the others and, of course, Starfleet ("United Federation of Planets"=interstellar United Nations, basically) and the Klingon Empire and Vulcan, but those are really the only similarities. I haven't even been able to figure out where it is in the timeline. (Yes, there are other shows/movies. Star Trek, The Original Series [TOS]; Star Trek, The Next Generation [TNG, my favorite]; Star Trek, Deep Space Nine [DS9]; Star Trek, Voyager [after 7 of 9 joins, also my favorite]; Star Trek, Enterprise [first incarnation of the flagship in TOS, which was "Enterprise-C"]; Star Trek, Picard [haven't seen because it's on a streaming service in which I haven't invested and don't plan to]; and now Star Trek, Discovery.

The biggest difference between Star Trek, Discovery, and the other series is there's no "Prime Directive" and no peace for Starfleet. Oh, and there is plenty of "mind fuck" of characters and audience alike; so, if you like shows that keep you guessing episode to episode, this would be one for you.
